StorybundleSet your price for the whole set

So, this is kind of a big deal. Dreamcast Worlds is being sold for a limited period of time alongside work by Ian Bogost, Kurt Kalata, and Anna Anthropy. Particularly exciting to me is Tristan Donovan's comprehensive survey of video games history. In fact, all the books are highly acclaimed. It's super flattering to be included in such an exciting collection. There's some pretty essential reading in here.

For the uninitiated: a 'bundle' is a special kind of collaborative flash sale. A bunch of creators, often but not always self-published indies, work with a third party to sell and market a selection of digital goods as one single set. The buyer sets the price, decides how to allocate the share between authors and the third party, and also gets to choose a charity to donate a portion of the revenue to.

In this case, you can get 6 of the books for as little as $3, and if you spend at least $10 you get the whole set. You can spend up to $100 to give writers extra support and ensure that good writing like this can continue. The charities are dedicated to mentoring budding writers in two US cities, so your dollars will be nurturing multiple generations of writers.

There's been lots of excitement for the bundle on Twitter. It's only running for 21 days, and if you're anything like me you'll forget to get on board and three weeks will pass by and then it will all be over and you'll hate yourself forever. Don't fall into that trap. Go get 'em.

(My favourite here is the one that treats my first name like my surname. Maybe it should be my surname.)
